Day 113 - Tuesday, September 21

When I developed a stress fracture in my right shin on day 13, I thought I really had bad luck. I was so wrong. Grammy took a fall, fractured a vertebra and was in pain and tired. I flew out to visit and told her I will relaunch and see her in 3 months.

She has totally recovered and when I ran into Eskaton Village 3,237 miles after I began this journey she was standing in front to greet me.

in addition, my niece Justine met me in Auburn at 3:45am to run her first marathon and ultra. Sister Lisa and niece Rachel met me to run in last miles. Mom setting up the welcome party. And finally, the residents of Eskaton cheering me in. Huge thank you to all for the hospitality!

The glorious day in pictures…

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Cheers,

David.
