Day 1 - Monday, March 22

Starting weight=169. Wake up call for 4:30am to leave at 6:30am. Super happy that i fell asleep around 9:30pm and usually I’d be a little stressed about waking up at 1:33am and not being able to go back to sleep but today I’m just pumped that I’ll be heading out soon and that it only means I’ll sleep better tonight after first run. Lucky knows something is happening today as he usually won’t follow me into the bathroom until my typical wake up around 5 - today when i went in at 1:33am he was right there. The weather looks to be better today with chance of rain way down and only gale warning in effect - this is great as running into cold, driving rain all day is really annoying! Since i had some time i got the idea to shave all my facial hair - which I’ve had forever - and my head thinking I’d start the journey fresh and see how long it takes to grow back. Definitely freaked out Monica and thankfully Mike Corsi was up to point out and fix that I’d missed a bunch of spots. My spirits were soaring as Lisa, Christian, Xander, Jason, George, Amy, Mike, Ilana, Mike, John, Bob, Yash, Eduardo, Kevin, Thomas and Peter all met me on the run. As luck would have it i found a Starbucks w Kevin, Yash and Eduardo and i run into Dana by total coincidence. Day could not have gone better as i put away 31 miles while Mike and Alex docked the ship at Sunny Oaks RV for the night. Since we are close to downtown Jax, we will take advantage of one of my favorite restaurants called BB’s for great meal before we head out to the unknown. Lunch was a V’s Pizza - epic food day!
